Firefox 2.0.0.4 popup size constraining ends frame
Post by praveenj84 on Jun 6, 2007 6:17:44 AM CST

Due to the security fix made for the bug (374570). From the bug description I understand that the pop-ups which were displaying over to the other frame is now restricted to the size of the corresponding parent frame for non-privileged popups.

When a child frame/iframe is used the pop-up is resized to fit the window area,it currently constrains to the frame area, yet it could size to a parent if it has the same domain (new bug was raised 383150).

I am running a web content management tool on the latest browser which used to display the context menus on different frames properly now as these are restricted to the corresponding frame size.

I want to know what are privileged and non privileged pop-ups ? how do we set them as privileged or non privileged ones. Is it possible to set them as privileged ones by overriding the XUL methods. If so how can i achieve that.

Or is there any solution i could follow to display my pop-ups correctly as it was getting displayed in 2.0.0.3.
