Youtube as a promotion tool

I film ducks at a local duck pond and I enjoy putting these movies on Youtube. I feel that it may not be a good idea to place my site's URL in the credits of my short films od ducks. I feel that it might bring a negative response to my site, which is a paid directory, I only really use Youtube as a hobby, I also feel that using it to promote my site could produce a negative reaction. Would anyone aggree?
