Spanish Language Poll
Post by rgupta on Mar 15, 2008 10:50:56 PM CST

I see that we can specify a Lang Parameter in the Querystring to get the poll in different languages.

Is this the way we get the poll's in differenct languages?

For e.g.
If I use:
http://poll.websitegear.com/iframepoll.asp?pollID=11202&Lang=es
will I get the poll in spanish language?
Please suggest how to get polls in different languages?

Thanks...

You have to set the language for the poll in the edit poll page. Spanish is one of the languages in the selection dropdown. Let us know if that does not answer your question.

If you require any other language not listed in the dropdown, contact support from the link above.

But once I set the language for the poll to Spanish I will get the poll only in Spanish or will I be able to get the poll in both Spanish and English.

I am looking for a way so that by specifying a Lang parameter in the query string I get the poll text either in English or Spanish.

Can this be done or we have to create a completely different poll for each language?

Thanks

Yes, you have to create a separate poll in the other language. There is no option of setting the questions for the same poll in different languages. For now, it has to be one poll per language. Also if you run 2 separate polls, you can compare the results later to see how people voted for the same poll based on language/regions.

We have received this request from our customers who have websites in multiple languages. We may provide this feature in one of our later releases.
