Looking for cheaper options on SSL Certificates!
Post by dareeendouhlas on Nov 28, 2008 9:48:30 AM CST

I am looking at using my site to collect customer information and orders, so I need a SSL certificate for secure communication. What are the cheaper and reliable options available?

There are plenty of cheap SSL certificates. The RapidSSL certificates start at around $14 or so per year. If you want a better certificate, go for the QuickSSL, which runs around $50 per year.

Here is a link on the Planet website

Also search on these above names and you will find a lot of vendors selling at competitive rates.

Secure communication is the need for ecommerce applications in order to maintain privacy of the customer data and ssl certificates are a reliable solution to that. There are products available from different certification authorities like geotrust, verisign and others. Their product range with variety of encryption and e-commerce security features provides great pricing options
